about

Originally performed by Waiting For Darryl. This song came together fairly quickly at my cousin and at-the-time bandmade Wayland Martin's house. I always liked it, but it ended up getting buried on an EP that came out right before we started focusing on recording a full length and it sort of fell through the cracks. This seemed like as good a time as any to revive it.

lyrics

I'm so sick of seeing word after word
etched into this glass
and the undying fear of just where you are
and my future becoming my past.

Why is this, your majesty
That I so love hurting you?

By now this feeling is exhausted
so I'm putting it to rest
is this poetic justice
or have you earned my best?

Why is this, your majesty
That I so love hurting you?
One last wish, your majesty
Find another heart to use

This can't go on now, it's over now
I can't go on now, it's killing me
I can't go on now, it's over now
I can't go on now, can't go on now

Why is this, your majesty
That I so love hurting you?
One last wish, your majesty
Find another heart to use
