Today's Work 03:06
The nerves inside our fingers were so unsatisfied until we pricked them and the life did drip While one half just sits back the other puts in time but why? This is all so very senseless, I just cannot comprehend now that we've obtained our goal we're so close to the end We've created a fracture we can never mend Promises were meant to be broken but you've smashed them into pieces Everything happens for a reason I hope it was worth it.
2.
Gravity 03:07
One step before the next one after another, after another Tie the knot, make sure that it fits Don't think about mother or the reflection in her eyes Out of sight, out of mind for the last time, the last time tonight Look around, take it in, say your goodbyes and take your last breath You're putting on the ultimate disguise Finding your way back home taking that road alone finding your way back home and you'll never know the real price of this journey Where it takes you we will see God only knows. Gravity does its job.
3.
Well here goes, we're blowing off the dust Pick it back up from where we just left off Build it all again Is this real? Is it happening? Wishful thinking or just destiny? One way to find out Take it one day at a time Play it note for note Check your calendar, I'll pencil you in We'll make a day of it, I can't wait to begin And see what we create I think it could be great
4.
Turn it Off 03:20
We live our lives starting into screens what does it mean? Do we need to know? Does everybody need to see our lives through our own eyes? A never ending show Unfolding plots that wander aimlessly for all to see, everyone to know And yet we've all become a mystery lost in a sea of data flow There's no stopping it now it tells me all I need to know Think for a minute just how far we've come and all we've done it amazes me Our world's become a living fantasy a waking dream a monopoly And you know that it's true the more things change they stay the same and I'm just like you You know that I connect to disconnect til I'm done with you Isn't it funny? All the more we stay in touch the quicker we lose feeling Now the moment's passing what if we turn it off? What's fiction, what's reality? They're starting to look the same to me
5.
Ticks Away 04:30
Better days bleed into better nights and they bleed into better afternoons and all this time we've wasted is time well spent and I'll raise my glass to it Everyone at this table with motives hidden holds a means to and end I know that of this can't be for nothing it'll all make sense somehow As long as we believe in something we can figure it out The sun goes up, the sun comes down our feet hit the pavement in search of someone who can bring us home But not home in the sense of where you came from but in the sense of where you're going in the sense of where you want to be Will you know it when you get there? There's only one way it can end The clock, it ticks away
6.
A sea of faces, they scream your name They rain their praises onto your frame But the curtain is closing and it's time to take your bow step into the darkness as only you know how It's time to pretend that you don't want it It's time to pretend that you don't need it And I've only just begun to learn that these thoughts are valid and worth the time it takes to spit them out and reach your ears

about

Back in 2012 Ryan Johnston paired up with guitarist/songwriter Hunter Nakazono to concoct a collection of songs, which they would eventually demo with the help of drummer Hana Rivas.

Though the project was relatively short-lived, it served to ease both Ryan and Hunter into their respective positions in the Los Angeles music scene.

Hunter can now be seen touring the country fronting the prolific blues/funk/rock band The Tens, while Ryan has forged his way mixing and mastering bands and artists of all genres, as well as fronting the progressive rock band Anoniem.

So kick back, relax, and take in these jams of days gone by...
